Calling all Riftstorm recruits! The testing grounds are reopening their gates for another round of public playtests from March 8th to March 15th, 2024. Gear up and jump in, but veterans, beware: this time around, things are significantly different from the November playtest.
What’s New?
- New Character: Spraybot – Master the battlefield with Spraybot, a versatile tactician who commands a squad of loyal Ace Drones.
- Dynamic Mission System – Experience a diverse set of missions, including 11 new solo missions, offering more varied gameplay.
- Keystone Gatekeeping – Progress through the story campaign by completing missions, but brace yourself for special Keystone Missions guarding entry to higher difficulty tiers.
- Shade Story Campaign Expansion – Embark on a globe-trotting adventure across three acts, encountering the new Mythic, M-0031 SHADE, and facing off against the ultimate test in Georgia.
Key Changes from the November Playtest:
Content Removals
- The “Ultimate Showdown” stage and associated achievement have been removed.
Character Changes
- All characters no longer have individual weapon specific buffs
- Starling gains increased ammo capacity for all weapons.
- Hertz gains a new passive ability to survive a fatal blow with temporary invulnerability.
- Icarus and all charge weapons now benefit from a general damage buff.
- Progression Update: The level cap for all characters has been increased from 20 to 30.
Stage Revamps
- Challenge Tower (Site-19) is now an endless tower with significantly increased difficulty (minimum combat power of 975 required).
- “Xian” stage has been renamed to Incheon.
- Port Charlestown has been renamed to Fortaleza.
