Chef Life: A restaurant simulator immerses you in the world of a restaurant’s life cycle, from a small-time establishment to a Michelin-starred establishment. Developing the abilities needed to successfully manage your restaurant’s finances, ingredient logistics, cuisine preparation, and time management. For many restaurant operators, employee management is proving to be a stumbling obstacle. In this essay, we will break down the problems and requirements for your team.


Experience and leveling

The leveling mechanism used by your squad is distinct from conventional game leveling. Your character will gain experience by accomplishing challenges and volunteering for a night. By accomplishing prep chores, your staff will receive experience, but their levels will be limited. You must fulfill each character’s tale missions to proceed to the next level. The experience gained will continue to accumulate, and your sous chef will progress as far as they can to the next cap.


Important things

Make sure to not upgrade the following items too quickly, or progress will be affected.

  • Beef Bourguignon – only upgrade after completing Adele’s quest “Learning the basics” and only upgrade once, else it will have an effect on her next quest, Steeper Learning Curve..
  • Beef and potatoes – only improve once otherwise Adele’s questline will be harmed.
  • Cacio E Pepe (Spaghetti with Italian Cheese) – Wait till Kassim: Testing the Waters is finished before updating.

Kassim


Kassim, an old culinary school classmate and your restaurant’s business partner, is the first sous chef to join your staff. He’ll join you right away, but not as a sous chef. To ensure that the front-of-house staff is properly trained and capable of offering the finest possible service. Kassim will be joining your team as a sous chef in a matter of days. He specializes in seafood cuisine.


Back to basics


The initial aim of Kassim’s journey is to get back to basics. Due to his employment following culinary school and getting the restaurant up to spec, he has not had time to make the seafood dish he has always craved. He wants to polish his talents first by creating some seafood meals.

  • Unlock the recipe “Sole meunière cooked in a whipped lemon butter and green beans.”
    • Upgrade the default Sole meunière that is unlocked on Tutorial Day 2.
  • Make Sole meunière with Kassim’s help
    • Cook and plate of Sole meunière where Kassim helped in the prep of the dish. An easy way for this is to have him just create a Fillet of sole during prep and completing the dish. This can also be performed during service
  • Ask Kassim to make:
    • 5 Fillet of sole
    • 3 Fennel slivers
      • Unlock recipe Sole Roulade, fennel, and pan-fired bell peppers to complete this step
    • 3 Red bell pepper slivers
      • Unlock recipe Sole Roulade, fennel, and pan-fired bell peppers to complete this step

Testing the waters


Kassim’s skills have been revitalized, and he is now ready to pursue his love of seafood. His next goal is to develop his talents by working with other varieties of seafood.

  • With Kassim’s help, make 1 Mussel casserole or 1 Seafood pasta
    • Go with the Seafood pasta as this involves the clam sauce.
    • This is the Spaghetti with Clams recipe.
  • Ask Kassim to make
    • 2 Clam Sauce
      • Perform the Seafood Pasta for this step
    • 2 Langoustine boullon
      • Unlock Grilled langoustine, vegetable slices, shellfish sauce
    • 1 Cooked Industrial Spaghetti
      • Perform the cooked industrial spaghetti from spaghetti with italian cheese (cacio e pepe)

Modern Tastes


Kassim is now satisfied with his newfound seafood knowledge. He is now prepared to return to his passion endeavor of creating the best seafood meal ever.

  • Unlock the recipe “Oven-roasted sea bream and vegetables”
  • Upgrade the recipe “Sea bream with fennel and citrus fruit, glazed white asparagus”
    • Upgrade Oven-roasted sea bream and vegetables
  • Make “Sea bream with fennel and citrus fruit, glazed white asparagus”
  • Create a new plating for Baked sea bream and use it.
    • Can be performed when learning “Oven-roasted sea bream and vegetables” and choose “Re-do Plating” when serving.

A to Z


Kassim now has a vision for his new recipe, but he wants to complete many other meals to guarantee his skills are up to grade, and he would appreciate it if you could trust him to handle them himself.

  • Make 10 recipes labeled as “Seafood” or “Fish” with Kassim helping with the prep
    • At this point Kassim will be closed to level 20 and able to make anything. A good thing is Kassim can prep the entire dish or even a side item for any meal with close to A rating. If it’s an upgraded recipe that requires the oven. It’s best to have him prep it and you bake it for the highest grade chance.
  • Get Kassim to make all by himself and serve:
    • 1 Tuna Steak
      • Unlock Tuna steak with sesame, glazed baby vegetables
    • 1 Salmon with sorrel
      • Unlock Salmon with sorrel, grilled asparagus and lemon
    • 1 Sea bream fillet
      • Unlock Fish Dishes recipe to get this recipe
    • 1 Red mullet fillets
      • Unlock Fish Dishes recipe to get this recipe
    • 1 Langoustine with vegetables
      • Use the same Langoustine and vegetable recipe

Kassim can now use all of his skills to create his dream cuisine, “Tuna steak with herbs, zucchini tagliatelle, and Mediterranean sauce.” You get the “Friend of Kassim” badge and may now head to the badges section to get the new recipe for 1 knowledge point.



Adele


Adele is your team’s second member. She works in fast food, yet she grew up at her family’s butcher shop. Kassim went above and above to locate her and bring her to your establishment. Her specialty is meat dishes.


Learning on the job

Adele’s first task in her journey is to learn on the job. Adele grew up with knowledge and expertise from her family’s butcher shop, but she learned her core skills at a fast-food restaurant. Adele acknowledges that meat is not as extensively consumed as it once was and plans to prepare special meat dishes for those who indulge, as well as ask your help in learning more meat dishes.

  • Ask to make

Steeper Learning Curve


Adele is now comfortable making a variety of meat dishes. She started reading additional recipe books but found some of the language confusing. She would appreciate help preparing recipes that include this type of meat.

  • Ask Adele to make
    • 3 Marinated cubes of beef
      • Upgrade Beef Bourguignon 1 time DO NOT UPGRADE FURTHER TILL THIS IS COMPLETE
    • 3 Pork and veal meatballs
      • Upgrade Meatballs in sauce

All-rounder


Adele is now competent in the culinary arts of meat preparation. She now wants to prepare the greatest dishes she can with the best ingredients.

  • Ask Adele to prepare the following:
    • 1 rare Cooked rib steak, bone in
    • 1 medium rare Cooked rib steak, bone in
    • 1 well done Cooked rib steak, bone in
      • Upgrade beef and potatoes to level 3.
      • The above 3 can be done during prep. Have her prep one of each temp.
  • Ask Adele to prepare the following:
    • 1 rare Cooked crown roast of lamb in mustard and parsley crust
      • Unlocked Crown roast of lamb in a parsley crust and traditional pureed potatoes
    • 1 rare Veal with olives
      • Unlock Sautéed veal with olives and tomatoes. (corsican veal with olives)
      • Upgrade Sautéed veal with olives, white wine and lonzu
  • Serve the following dishes made with Adele’s help:
    • 7 Meat dishes, using only meat of “Excellent” quality
      • Reach Level 15 and unlock Excellent quality

Adele is now confident in her meat-cooking abilities. She is happy with her growth and has astounded her family with her ability. She prepares her family’s lamb meal for you. You can now earn 1 knowledge point and the Friend of Adele Badge by claiming the dish “Lamb cutlets and baby onions, rich jus with honey and rosemary.”


Jiro


Jiro is the newest member of the team. He specialized in vegetarian cuisine and operates a food truck. Kassim approached him about joining the restaurant, and your chef’s vision lured Jiro here in the hopes that he can make the best vegetarian cuisine possible.


Vegetarian Gourmet


Jiro realizes that working at the restaurant is more intriguing than he anticipated, but he is even more shocked by how welcoming the customers are to vegetarian cuisine. He wants to expand on this by using some of his recipes to bring out the best in them.

  • Complete 5 services with a menu specializing entirely in “Vegetarian” dishes
    • The menu of the day will need to be classified as Vegetarian
  • Make the following dishes with Jiro’s help:
    • 1 Carpaccio of pickled winter vegetables, walnut bread
      • Unlock Carpaccio of winter vegetables, mozzarella croquettes
      • Upgrade Carpaccio of picked winter vegetables, walnut bread
    • 1 Grilled eggplant, potato puree, sautéed porcini mushrooms with red wine
      • Unlock Recipe Bean steak, vegan potato puree
      • Upgrade 1 Grilled eggplant, potato puree, sautéed porcini mushrooms with red wine
    • 1 Ballotine of zucchini with age Comtè cheese, mushroom, and truffle stuffing
      • Unlock recipe Stuffed Zucchini
      • Make Stuffed zucchini and cheese
      • Upgrade 1 Ballotine of zucchini with age Comtè cheese, mushroom, and truffle stuffing
  • Complete 5 services that earn a minimum grade of “good service” with Jiro cooking.
    • Just get a service grade of Good on days he is sous chef and prepping parts of the dish for a customer.

High Standard and high quality


Jiro respects your confidence in his culinary concepts and is happy with the current pace, but he wants to show himself even more. He is now ready and eager to put his best foot forward and show himself.

  • Have at least 3 “Vegetarian” recipes of level Gastronomic cuisine on the menu and complete 5 services that earn a minimum grade of “Great service!” with Jiro cooking.
    • You can use the same 3 recipes from his previous quest for this.
  • Serve 7 “Vegetarian” dishes that earn a minimum grade of A with ingredients of “Excellent” quality and Jiro helping with the prep.
    • Reach level 15 and unlock Excellent quality

Jiro is ecstatic that the dishes were a success and cannot thank you enough. He wanted to produce a recipe but couldn’t because of food truck equipment limits. He believes he can make it here and hopes to see it on the menu one day. You can now earn 1 knowledge point and the Friend of Jiro badge by claiming the recipe Vegetable millefeuille, green tomatoes, and lemon confit.
